Rilasciato Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1 Beta 1 “Lanikai”
E’ di poche ore fa la notizia del rilascio ufficiale della prima beta della nuova versione (la 3.1) del client di posta (e non solo) di casa Mozilla : parlo di Thunderbird.
In quanto versione Alpha, Thunderbird Lanikai per ora è pensato per i beta-testers ed è ancora totalmente in fase di sviluppo…ma vale la pena provarlo, giusto per avere un assaggio delle novità in arrivo nel nuovo client. Direttamente da casa Thunderbird vi riporto le release notes :
Mozilla has released the first alpha of its forthcoming Thunderbird 3.1, code named Lanikai after a Hawaiian beach.
Alphas are very early development releases and should only be tried by developers and testers. Among other improvements, Lanikai Alpha 1 includes:
- Several improvements to IMAP.
- Several fixes for Smart Folders, message filters, and attachment handling.
- Several design improvements and corrections to the interface.
- Download Manager is now accessible as a menu item (Tools > Saved Files).
- Stability and memory improvements.
