Il giorno della presentazione del nuovo smartphone OnePlus One è finalmente arrivato e Pete Lau, assieme ad alcuni membri del team CyanogenMod, ha ufficializzato tutte le caratteristiche del terminale Android più atteso del momento.
La scheda tecnica è ovviamente la stessa che abbiamo imparato a conoscere durante le ultime settimane, vediamola insieme prima di passare agli aspetti hardware e software ancora inediti:
- Display 5.5 pollici JDI con risoluzione Full HD (1920*1080 pixel);
- SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974AC da 2.5 GHz;
- GPU Adreno 330 (578 MHz);
- 3 GB di memoria RAM LPDDR3;
- 16 o 64 GB di memoria interna (EMMC 5.0);
- Fotocamera posteriore da 13 megapixel;
- Fotocamera anteriore da 5 megapixel;
- Batteria da 3100 mAh;
- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n;

Veniamo subito alla parte più attesa dell’intera conferenza: il design e l’aspetto estetico del OnePlus One. Pete Lau ha innanzitutto lodato l’estrema cura dei bordi, sottilissimi ed ergonomici, per poi mostrare i “beautiful contours”, ovvero la cornice – non metallica – che potete notare nei seguenti scatti:
OnePlus One arriverà sul mercato in due colorazioni differenti: Sandstone Black e Silk White:
Durante la presentazione trova spazio anche qualche piccola curiosità ed è così che veniamo a sapere che le finiture posteriori della cover sono realizzate in Anacardio, un albero tropicale che cresce nel centro America.
Passando a qualcosa di più concreto, Pete Lau ha reso noto che lo smartphone sarà personalizzabile grazie ai 4 tipi di texture posteriori che potete apprezzare di seguito:
Entriamo ora nel vivo della presentazione con le dimensioni del dispositivo: 75.9mm di larghezza, 152.9mm di altezza, 8.9 di spessore (i bordi laterali sono spessi solo 4.6mm):
Il device è realizzato in magnesio e pesa “solo” 162 grammi, raggiungendo quindi il primato come smartphone da 5.5 pollici più leggero al mondo.

Dopo aver finalmente svelato il design è giunto il momento di parlare della fotocamera. Il sensore fotografico posteriore è un Sony IMX214 da 13 megapixel dotato di ben sei lenti e apertura focale f/2.0.
La modalità scatto veloce è in grado di catturare un’immagine in appena 0.3 secondi. Vediamo alcuni scatti di test mostrati durante la presentazione:
Le immagini appaiono piuttosto nitide ma non permettono di capire quale sia la reale resa della camera durante l’utilizzo di tutti i giorni. Attendiamo di avere in prova il dispositivo per poter valutare tali aspetti.
Il sistema operativo montato sul dispositivo è CyanogenMod 11S, ovvero una versione rivisitata della più famosa custom ROM per Android. La base è ovviamente Kitkat nella sua versione 4.4.2, mentre il design appare completamente rivisitato in chiave flat e minimal:
Le possibilità di personalizzazione sembrano quantomai ampie grazie alla disponibilità di temi, sfondi, set di icone, font e addirittura Boot Animation.
La disponibilità, come abbiamo già avuto modo di annunciare, comprenderà i seguenti paesi: Austria, Belgio,Canada, Danimarca, Finlandia, Francia, Germania, Hong Kong, Italia, Olanda, Portogallo, Spagna, Svezia, Taiwan, UK e USA.
In tutti i paesi appena elencati sarà disponibile un centro di assistenza dedicato.

Passiamo ora all’aspetto che in molti attendevano: il prezzo.
269 euro per la versione da 16 GB, 299 euro per la variante da 64 GB. Non ho parole!!!
